Security gap at mid-market companies
In CIO Magazine (March 1, 2007), Allan Holmes talks about the challenges small to mid-market companies face as they work to improve their security position. With about 4,000+ mid-market companies, about 43% have annual budgets below $100K while large companies spend closer to $1M. How big is your company and what is your security budget? Do you have a security expert on staff? If you are a mid-market, the chance of that is 20% versus a larger company with a 50% likelihood.
