Do you know where your used computers go? If not, you should.

When storage rooms fill up with used computer equipment (which of course involves a cost for leasing the space) what should you do? If you considered asset disposal and recycling during the acquisition process you already have a plan. More than likely though you don't, especially if the old equipment is left over from an merger or from a department that used to order and manage their own equipment. Asset recycling involves risk in data security, compliance, and environmental impact, while maximizing investment value recovery.
